Discipleship

7-8:30PM

Belong Gathering is a 14-week discipleship journey that anyone can start at any time. Each week, we have worship, a Teach Us Your Ways lesson, group discussion, and prayer together. Once someone completes all 14 weeks, we encourage them to join prayer and outreach the following week to start making disciples themselves. We believe that disciples make disciples!

Discipleship is the heart of Belong!

Belong gathering

We have a new testament conviction, founded in the book of Acts, that when people are saved, they should receive all that God has for them that day. Or at least. That week: salvation, baptism in the Holy Spirit, water baptism, deliverance, and real discipleship. So often people get saved and months later they get water baptized, years later they receive the Holy Spirit (if ever). And when they die, they are delivered. Jesus paid for more than this. At Belong, we have created a space to truly equip new believers with all that God wants to give them.

Important note: the goal is to walk with your disciple for twelve weeks to help them grow as a Christian and get plugged into your local church, and they can then go on outreach and make disciples.

Evangelism and discipleship were never meant to be separated.

After someone is led to Jesus they are invited to Belong Discipleship night. This is where they can come to a small informal gathering at the church to learn more about Jesus. This discipleship time allows the church to actively come alongside the new believer on their journey and it includes worship, testimony. Teaching and small groups for questions and personal connection. Baptisms are often done this night as well. This is where we take people from the alter to Belong and outreach/street to Belong. Discipleship is the heart of Belong!
